What is 3D Supports?

3D Supports is a limited liability organization started by five people with a combined over seventy-seven years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities. 3D Supports believes in a person-centered and flexible approach to supports.  We believe that each individual present with their own set of needs, goals, abilities, and challenges.  Rather than fit an individual into a pre-existing support paradigm, we work to develop a program around that individual that understands and addressed those needs, goals, abilities, and challenges.

CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

What is CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention?
CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Training prepares your staff to prevent and de-escalate medium to high-risk behavior using both restrictive and non-restrictive methods.
NCI training has two parts
  1. The online portion - you go over the philosophy and approach of CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.  You will learn strategies to de-escalate situations before they become physical.  You will also review the strategies to deal with situations when they do become physical that you will learn in detail during the in-person portion of the class.
  2. The in-person portion – you will meet with the instructor and review what you learned online then learn to apply the physical part of CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention safely and effectively.

How do I get trained?

 This is how it works:
  1.  You fill out the FORM and indicate when you want to attend the IN-PERSON class.
  2. The FORM populates a spreadsheet and lets Erik Sr. know someone has signed up.
  3. Erik Sr. looks at the sign-up spreadsheet and signs you up for the chosen date for the IN-Person class.
    1. Be aware, there must be at least two participants per class to practice the control positions.  If you are the only one signing up for a IN-PERSON date, you may have to wait for another person to sign up or reschedule.  Erik Sr. will contact you.
  4. Erik Sr. will contact you and let you know you are signed up for a class.
  5. You will check the email you provided for the invite o the ONLINE portion of the class.
    • The invite comes directly from CPI, it is not sent by Erik Sr.
    • If you do not see the email, search your email for "crisis"
    • If you still do not see it, contact Erik Sr.
  6. Follow that link and complete the ONLINE portion of the course.
  7. Attend the IN-PERSON portion of the course on the date for which you signed up.
  8. Be aware, the ONLINE portion MUST be completed before the IN-PERSON class.
